Step 2: Make Your Purchase
If you haven't already, purchase PureHealth Research supplement products using your preferred payment method (Credit/Debit card).
- Note: If you already purchased, ensure you completed Step 1 within 24 hours of your order time.
Step 3: Submit for Reimbursement
Once you have your LMN from Flex and your Order Receipt, you can submit them to your HSA/FSA provider.
- Log in to your HSA/FSA provider’s portal.
- Upload two documents:
- Your itemized receipt from PureHealth Research
- Your Letter of Medical Necessity from Flex

What is an HSA or FSA?

Can I use HSA/FSA for subscriptions?
Yes. Subscriptions require a short health assessment and a Letter of Medical Necessity.
What is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?
A Letter of Medical Necessity is a document from a licensed healthcare provider that verifies the medical necessity of a product or service, making it eligible to purchase using your HSA or FSA. This might include items or treatments like supplements or physical therapy that aren’t automatically recognized as eligible expenses.
Do I need a new Letter of Medical Necessity for every purchase?
No. Your LMN is valid for 12 months. You can use the same letter for any qualifying PureHealth Research purchases made within one year of the letter's date.
What if my claim is denied?
Most HSA/FSA providers accept LMNs from Flex. If they request more information, please contact the Flex support team at support@withflex.com
I don’t have an HSA/FSA. Can I still benefit from Flex?
Unfortunately, Flex services are for individuals who have HSA or FSA accounts. We encourage you to ask your employer about information on your HSA or FSA!
Do I need to do anything with my Letter of Medical Necessity?
You should keep it on file for at least three years in the event of an IRS audit of your HSA or FSA account. Occasionally, FSAs may ask for the Letter to confirm the eligibility of your purchase.
